MSMP
In its 20th year, the Multicultural Student Mentor Program continues to provide incoming multicultural students (Mentees) with peer guidance and support as they undertake their transition and adjustment to the University culture. At the end of their first year, the Mentees should be well equipped to successfully navigate the University environment and have full confidence in their ability to achieve, graduate, and transition to a successful career and life. New students are encouraged to take advantage of the assistance, knowledge, and commitment the Mentors have with their success.
Mentors are well prepared to provide information, guidance, and facilitate the connection to the Community of Support available through the Office of Multicultural Student Services. Currently, 51 Student Mentors are working on ways to connect and serve 703 new members of the Cougar family. Mentors participate in extensive ongoing training in order to offer their Mentees the mentoring that fosters the best possible University experience.
